September 20th felt like the right day for a little Oktoberfest of our own. Germany celebrates Oktoberfest across September, so Sandy and I marked it the way that fits this chapter of life \u2014 on e-bikes, outdoors, and ending somewhere with good company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We started on the Blossom Trail<\/a> and rode to Bauhaus Biergarten<\/a>. I logged the ride in RideWithGPS so I\u2019d have a clean route summary to look back on \u2014 distance, path, and the shape of the day in one place.<\/p>\n\n\n

It wasn\u2019t a race. It was retirement done simply: move a little, share the ride, and toast the season when you get there. Sandy made it better, the way good riding partners do.<\/p>\n\n\n
